LaGrange grabs a walk-off win and forces Game 3 vs. North Oconee

LAWRENCEVILLE (WRBL) – It was the much-anticipated rematch, which lasted a year. LaGrange wanted to win the GHSA 4A State Championship from the team that beat her to it a year ago: North Oconee. In Game 1, however, it was only the Titans as North Oconee defeated the Grangers 11-1 in six innings. Game 2 was a different story, playing late into the evening before Cole Garner’s hot shot ground ball caused trouble for the shortstop and gave Seth Stargell the winning goal. With the 6-5 win, LaGrange forced a Game 3 to be played Saturday noon at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville with the Class 4A title at stake. News 3 will be on hand, covering all the action on Saturday night’s News 3 Evening Edition and News 3 Nightwatch.
