CHATSWORTH, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — An incident that began with officers confronting a gunman in Chatsworth ended with them using CPR in a possible attempt to save his life.

Bodycam video released by the LAPD shows an officer attempting to pull over a man they believed may be armed in a parking lot.

The man tries to run away, but eventually collapses. A gun falls to the ground next to him.

Officers noted he was having trouble breathing and may have overdosed. They handcuffed him but then called an ambulance and eventually performed CPR.
