On “Last Week Tonight” on Sunday, host John Oliver took the opportunity to do so Beat Fabio Lanzoni (better known as Fabio) because of his absurd and inappropriate view of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
In particular, Oliver had problems with Fabio’s recent statement Appearance on Fox Business Networkin which the infamous romance book cover model denounced Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel.
“These people take so much joy in killing, it’s the worst – 10,000 times worse than the Nazis,” Fabio told host Neil Cavuto, adding that Hamas appears to take pride in how many Israelis they do have killed so far.
“At least the Nazis kept it quiet somehow.”
“Wait a minute, Fabio,” a stunned Oliver commented after playing the Fox clip. “Far be it from me to contradict a well-known geopolitics expert and former ‘I can’t believe it’s not butter’ spokesman, but ‘at least the Nazis kept it secret somehow’?!
“The Nazis kept a lot of things,” Oliver continued. “They kept it on time. They kept it blonde. They kept it humorless. And yes, they kept it tight. They were well-cut pieces of shit, but you know subtlety wasn’t their calling card, Fabio!”
In his interview, Fabio also criticized the so-called “wave of anti-Semitism raging from Hollywood” and suggested nuclear war as a suitable solution to finally end the conflict.
“Israel is just trying to defend itself. If something had happened in the United States like what happened on October 7, the United States would have nuked the borderland,” he said.
