Left-wing writer accuses Netanyahu of “toxic masculinity.”

Salon senior political reporter Amanda Marcotte has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of “toxic masculinity.”

Marcotte wrote: “Netanyahu’s toxic masculinity makes for a fragile ego.” She also described the Israeli figure as “authoritarian.”

Her comments come as Israel is embroiled in war in response to heinous attacks by terrorists. Netanyahu has said that although the nation did not want the war, it will “win” it.

“Confusing toxic masculinity with skillful leadership has led to catastrophe after catastrophe, from senseless wars to avoidable terrorist attacks to the deepening climate crisis,” Marcotte wrote. “It’s long past time for humanity to move to a higher level and start prioritizing intelligence, kindness and calm over the masculinity theatrics of overcompensating idiots. This will do neither the Israelis nor the Palestinians much good at the moment, as both are still suffering from Netanyahu’s gross mistreatment.” A situation that will lead to much unnecessary death and suffering.
