Liam Gallagher debuts ‘World’s in Need’ inspired by The Who

We haven’t been this mesmerized by a Liam Gallagher video since he took part in it Fashion‘s73 Questions” series, during which we actively feared for the life of the interviewer the entire time. (We think the interviewer is fine.) Gallagher appeared on the weekend Later… With Jools Holland to debut a great new song “World’s in Need” off his upcoming album, come on you know Vulture can’t stress this enough: We’ve been waiting to hear the finished “World’s in Need” since last October when he bullied the track on social media, calling it his version of the Who’s glorious “Magic Bus.” And you know what… it’s kinda! Gallagher uses maracas instead of the Who’s claves, but honestly we’re not the percussion police and he’s having a blast. “I just want to run away with you,” he sings. “Sail the seven seas, live a life of ease.” And then maybe he can get on the bus that will take him to you.
