LIVE: Fatal accident blocks southbound I-275 in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — All lanes of southbound Interstate 275 are blocked in Tampa due to a fatal accident.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the accident at approximately 7:15 p.m. According to traffic data from FL511, I-275 appears to be southbound from Fowler Ave. to Busch Blvd. to be blocked.

FDOT camera footage shows vehicles on Fowler Ave. be diverted from the freeway.

Southbound drivers should exit Fletcher Ave. exit to avoid the roadblock.
