Lizzo’s Grammys Look Divides Internet – ‘Why is she dressed up as a blood clot?’

Lizzo’s eye-catching ensemble of choice at the 65th Grammy Awards on Sunday divided fans as they shared their views on social media.
The “Juice” singer beamed on the red carpet outside the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles as she stepped out in an orange Dolce & Gabbana dress which she paired with a matching cape.
Her dress, which was a lighter shade of orange, featured a corset bodice and white vertical stripes, while her coral-colored cape featured an explosion of floral designs, clustered at the top and scattered throughout.

To make sure she stayed on topic down to the last detail, the Michigan-born star, born Melissa Viviane Jefferson, sported orange eye shadow and blush, as well as a tangerine manicure. She completed her look with clear orange gloves and a pair of large diamond cluster rings.
She was joined on the red carpet by boyfriend Myke Wright, who cut a dapper figure in a black tuxedo.
When pictures of Lizzo’s look were shared on social media shortly after her arrival, a few Twitter users shared their thoughts.

While the ensemble drew a wave of similar comments, many seemed impressed with her looks.
Some Twitter users called her look “gorgeous” and “iconic,” while one fan specified: “Lizzo is honestly one of the best dressed celebrities.”
“She always gives the most beautiful haute couture looks and I love to see her,” another commented of Lizzo’s style.
Another had a more entertaining take on the ensemble, tweeting that when people “blink right.” [I’m] under the robe that hugs her.”
Lizzo showcased her outfit in a variety of photos shared on her Instagram account ahead of the ceremony.
“🌺Spring Awakening🌺,” she wrote alongside a slideshow of her ensemble, while an accompanying video was captioned, “Let’s go Grammys🍑.”
The star was nominated for five Grammy Awards this year for her album Specialand the single “About Damn Time”. Categories include Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Album of the Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Distinguished presenters at the awards include First Lady Jill Biden, rapper Cardi B, actor and presenter James Corden, actors Billy Crystal and Dwayne Johnson, actress Viola Davis, three-time Grammy winner Olivia Rodrigo and five-time Grammy winner Shania Twain .
Lizzo will also appear on the show, joining a roster of previously announced entertainers including Bad Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Luke Combs, Steve Lacy, Kim Petras, Sam Smith and Harry Styles.
There will also be a star-studded In Memoriam section paying tribute to some of those in the creative community who have died over the past year.
The segment will perform Kacey Musgrave’s “Coal Miner’s Daughter” as a tribute to Loretta Lynn; Sheryl Crow, Mick Fleetwood and Bonnie Raitt honor Christine McVie with “Songbird”; and Maverick City Music joined Quavo for “Without You,” honoring late Migos star Takeoff.
