Los Angeles police detectives investigate fatal shooting at a pharmacy near a synagogue in Tarzana


TARZANA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Police are investigating after a man was shot dead in a pharmacy near a synagogue in Tarzana.
Officials were responding to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon and a possible active gunman at 12:29 p.m. Saturday in the 18300 block of Ventura Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A man in his 30s was found dead at the pharmacy from gunshot wounds, the agency said. His identity has not been released.
Witnesses said they heard multiple shots and found that there was some sort of confrontation at the pharmacy.
Investigators say they do not believe the incident was a robbery.
Police are looking for two male suspects who fled on foot after the fatal shooting.
