Los Feliz students at John Marshall High School celebrate National Pi Day with games and cake

LOS FELIZ (KABC) – It’s National Pi Day, a day celebrating the infinite number with a slice of cake. And the students at John Marshall High School did just that.

Kacy Alejo is the student body president and plans to major in Mathematical Economics when she goes to college next year. She says she wants to make this day special for her peers.

“We really wanted to plan the whole thing for Pi Day. And you know, some of us are math fans in the classroom,” Alejo said.

And the production for this celebration didn’t just start today.

“We got here pretty early this morning. We started decorating this morning. We also started some of them last week on Thursday or Friday,” said newcomer Aidan Warner.

The students also had a cake sponsor today. According to Alejo, Pie Hole’s owner is a former John Marshall and wanted to help by donating pies.
