‘Love Island USA’ Season 4 is set to feature a cast of ex-boyfriends
Love Island USA Season 4 saw two firsts, including Siblings and the return of former Islander Mackenzie Dipman. However, according to actor Val Bragg, the season would also have included another historical twist as she and her ex-boyfriend were reportedly both supposed to be at the villa together.
Val Bragg Says Her Ex Has Been Cast For Season 4 Of Love Island USA
When Love Island USA Season 4 began to wrap up, fans realized that islander Valerie “Val” Bragg had a boyfriend and wondered if they met while on the dating show.
She posted a lengthy statement on her Instagram story, claiming it didn’t materialize island of love in a relationship and was single for months.

After being released from the island, Val said her ex-boyfriend Chris Larsen contacted her and revealed he almost appeared on the show too.
According to her, he was isolating in a hotel room watching the episodes, which he described as “emotionally draining.” It apparently put her ex in a negative headspace, causing him to go home instead of entering the mansion.

After the conversation, Val claimed the two could have opened up and eventually reconnected.
Clarifying the timeline of their previous relationship in another Instagram Story post, she explained that they dated from 2019 to 2021 and have been on and off ever since.
One follower wondered if they were cast to take part island of love together, and Val admitted, “I think that must have been what the producers had in mind.” However, she’s glad it didn’t work out because she’s not sure she could have handled it emotionally.
When asked if the two are currently dating, Val revealed that they are back together and almost appeared on the season together. “[I] I wish you guys had met him because he is actually the most amazing man I have ever met in my life,” she added.
There were two other franchise firsts in Love Island USA
In the season there was a pair of siblings for the first time island of love Story. Bria and Chazz Bryant entered the mansion on Day 6 and got their pick of everyone.
They caused ripples by stealing Timmy Pandolfi and Sereniti Springs as they were both in tight ties with other islanders. While Bria was sent home a few days later without being able to connect, Chazz connected with three different girls before finally dropping out on Day 22.
In addition, season 4 included another first by bringing back a former islander. Mackenzie Dipman, who originally appeared in season two, returned to the mansion on day 23, towards the end of the competition. Chad Robinson left OG Islander Courtney Boerner for Mackenzie, and the two bonded but didn’t develop a strong enough bond.
While he was moving on to Phoebe Siegel, she left the island after five days, believing she had learned everything she needed from the experience. If there were exes in the season, season 4 would have three franchise firsts. Love Island USA Season 4 is available to stream on Peacock.
