This comes after Sammy spoke out yesterday, claiming she had “blindsided” him by announcing their split.

Jess took to her Instagram today to tell her fans that the couple actually broke up a week ago, seemingly contradicting Sammy’s statement.
When asked how she was doing in a question and answer session on the social media site, Jess replied: “It’s been over a week now since we broke up so I’m getting there . We shared a once-in-a-lifetime experience together, so of course I’m sad too.”
She typed her response over a video of herself cuddling her dog, implying that her pet comforted her after the breakup.
She also took a dig at her ex when another follower asked why they broke up.
“I really don’t want to go into detail and make a big statement, but we’re just very different and behave differently and that’s it.”
Her cryptic comment was clearly a dig at Sammy, who released a lengthy statement yesterday.
In his long post, he also revealed that he didn’t expect her to announce the separation.
He wrote: “Hi guys, I thought I would go online to address today’s news about me and Jess. Yes, we had a private conversation about our relationship, but that remained in limbo since Jess is still away and we haven’t had a chance to speak in person.
“It was a complete shock for me to find out today through the media that we have officially separated.”
Sammy continued: “To be clear, I wanted at least a face-to-face conversation to see if our relationship could be salvaged and felt this would be a respectful way forward.”
“We had the most incredible experience winning Love Island and I really saw a future with Jess. I was committed and respectful of our relationship. Unfortunately, things don’t always work out as hoped.”
He concluded the statement by saying, “Despite everything that has unfolded today, I think Jess is a great woman and sincerely wish her all the best.”
Since news of the split broke, Jess has been in Ibiza with her friends.
