Luke Grimes doesn’t want to know how Yellowstone ends, and for good reason

yellowstone‘s Luke Grimes isn’t just singing the praises of the Dutton family these days; He sings his own country songs and shares more about both endeavors The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Play an effortlessly swooning cowboy yellowstone, Grimes is just as dreamy without getting too involved when discussing his burgeoning country music career. He begins recording his album this February, just months after the debut of his first country single “No Horse to Ride” and what the future holds for the Dutton family.

Well, Grimes didn’t have much to say about the future of yellowstoneand he had a good reason for it.

“No, I don’t think some of the cast know, the ending, you know, some were told, and I didn’t want to know, I don’t know, and I don’t think I don’t think Taylor Sheridan, who writes our show wants me to know too, but I don’t know. Yes, it could – it could affect the way you do or play something. And it’s fun to experience it that way. Despite it. It’s kind of, you know, like life.”

In an interview ahead of the season five premiere, Grimes admitted he hasn’t even caught up with the series as a whole. He’s only seen a handful of scenes because he wants to play Kayce Dutton the way he did from the start. He doesn’t want to see anything in an episode that would change the way he brings the Dutton cowboy to life.

Fallon also asked Grimes how to describe his character, noting that fans have made inferences about a power player The Godfather, Michael Korleone.

“Yes, that was kind of a reference throughout, but we’ll have to see. You know, I think that’s what we’re all waiting for: can he come and be a man and do the things necessary to help the family keep the house or not? I think that’s what we’re all watching to find out.”

Kayce was recently asked to step up, and when John Dutton waved goodbye to the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, Kayce has some big boots to fill for now. We hope the character realizes that as much as the man who plays him.

yellowstone may be on hiatus until this summer, but you can catch up on all things from the first four seasons on Peacock, and don’t forget to watch new episodes of 1923 on Paramount Plus every Sunday. Luke Grimes doesn’t want to know how Yellowstone ends, and for good reason
