happy friday, yellowstone Lover; It’s an emotionally charged day to be a fan of the series as it nears its Season 5 premiere. Luke Grimes has fans thirsty for an Instagram post and the promise that goes with it, while viewers hug in a new Reddit thread about Beth Dutton. Of course, upsetting fans is nothing new for Beth; She loves to be the taste they can’t get out of their mouth. She doesn’t care about the opinions of people below her, and let’s face it; few people are on Beth’s level. From the charming Luke Grimes to the wild Beth Dutton, there’s a lot of fan chatter going on today. You know the drill: take a load off your weary work boots, grab your favorite beverage and drive in!
Luke Grimes caught our attention with his latest Instagram post
Luke Grimes shared a new snap on Instagram, and fans are both thirsty and opinionated after seeing it. Of course, his newfound presence in the social media space will be appreciated.
His first post announced that he was pursuing a country music career and performing on Stagecoach. Needless to say, fans quickly decided to plan a trip to the desert for the music festival.
Last night’s post got fans talking about his promise about selfies and the fact that he plans to post very few. Fans responded to his promise with a challenge: selfies shouldn’t be kept to a minimum; they want all the beauty of Luke Grimes they can get!
He also told fans to expect updates in his future posts, so fingers crossed for those to come!
In this Reddit thread, people are divided about Beth Dutton
Beth Dutton is one of the most polarizing characters in Taylor Sheridan’s universe to date. She is feisty, fierce and beautiful; She commands respect when entering a room and has the attention of every pair of eyes. Beth never goes anywhere without getting a reaction, which is true when it comes to social media.
A Reddit thread asks if other fans think Beth is heading towards redemption anytime soon. The thing about salvation is that it doesn’t ask for it, and some will never say it needs it. Beth knows the ramifications of the decisions she makes, and she doesn’t do much to apologize or ask for forgiveness.
This fan doesn’t hold back his opinion of Beth, calling her a monster but also wondering what made her do it. We’ve seen a lot of her backstory, but there’s still an overwhelming gray area in the area of her relationship with her mother. You could tell there were arguments, but why was she treated with such a lack of compassion by the woman who should have loved her the most?
Still, some fans can’t feel an ounce of positive emotion for Beth — no matter what she’s been through. It was also pointed out that if you’re Team Jamie, you probably don’t belong on Team Beth.
This fan is pointing out something Kevin Costner said himself; that there is a certain level of appreciation for this family who can say and do whatever they want.
Others think she doesn’t get a redemption arc because she doesn’t need one.
Some fans love Beth and think she’s amazing while still understanding that her choices won’t fly for someone who isn’t a major TV series character.
If you ask us, that’s where reverence for her character comes in. We know she’s vicious, wild, and devious, but there’s more to her than that – they’re usually just hidden beneath the surface.
Beth is in pain and growing; She’s been through more than most could ever imagine, and she’s finding a way to move forward. She has moments of softness and vulnerability, but they are often overshadowed by the big moments of anger and sometimes fear. She reserves much of her hidden gentleness for Rip and her father, sometimes even Kayce, but she’s not playing that hand right now.
Could fans’ opinions change if she did? Only time will tell, but the thing about Beth is that she’ll just do whatever she wants.
Yellowstone Rewind: Season 2, Episode 7
It is “Day of Resurrection” in yellowstone, and the title could not have been more appropriate. The Beck brothers are the Duttons’ number one enemy right now, and they’re getting tired of waiting for the cards to fall.
Beth and Jamie have a conversation this episode that almost gives the impression that she’s about to give him some sisterly advice, but not moments later she tells him that the world would be better off without him. Their bond has suffered irreparable damage and we’re not sure what the new episodes will bring, but things between them will never be the same.
A lot happens in this episode and we have to warn you: there is a painful scene where Beth is attacked that is very multifaceted. If you’ve been a victim of violence or sexual assault, you may have avoided this episode and you probably want to stop reading here.
Tired of John not taking them “seriously,” the Beck brothers put Beth first on their hit list, and she’s being attacked by inches of her life. The men sent to beat her lifeless also threaten to sexually assault her, and while it doesn’t come to that (thanks, Rip Wheeler), it’s still brutal to watch.
If you recall, a few episodes ago Beth told Rip to save the words “I love you” for a moment where they would protect her. As she screams as soon as he comes to her rescue, he cradles her face and tells her those exact words; They came at just the right time – they are there to save her.
After Rip kills her attackers, Kayce hangs their bodies together for the Beck brothers to find so they know the Dutton family isn’t playing.
There is a bright spot in the episode where Tate Dutton gets his first horse and spends some time with John, but after the scene where Beth gets hurt there’s not much even a sweet grandfather/grandson moment can do , To help.
If you continue your yellowstone Rewatch, you might also like to watch the next episode tonight. There are some lighter moments and some revenge there.
