Lunar New Year: what does it mean to be in the year of the rabbit?

CHINATOWN, MANHATTAN — If you happen to see lots of bunnies hopping around town – from children to all kinds of merchandise, that’s because it’s the Year of the Rabbit.
Asians around the world marked the Turning a new Lunar New Year with traditional fireworks, kites – and even story time.
But what does it mean for those born in the year of the Rabbit?
“Rabbit is smart and energetic – lots of good opportunities for promotions, good jobs, friends and money too,” Virginia Wong said.
There are 12 zodiac signs in the lunar calendar. If you are serious, there are even suggestions as to which animals are suitable for marriage. However, most find it a fun topic of conversation when celebrating the Year of the Rabbit.
Red is considered the lucky color. Those born in the year of the Rabbit are encouraged to hug them tightly and wear red underwear.
Whatever animal you are, Lunar New Year is all about new hope, good health, and really all the best wishes.
