Maddie Ziegler and Kenzie Ziegler made their place in the entertainment industry. The sisters have a podcast together, Take 20, but have otherwise taken different paths in Hollywood. Maddie has made a name for herself as an actress in films like Westside Story and Failure. But Miller wasn’t the only one comparing the sisters. That Dancing Moms The fandom also liked to draw comparisons. It didn’t help that the show seemed to tempt those comparisons. In Season 4, Kenzie even had to face off against Maddie’s well-known Solo Cry, wearing the same costume her sister had donned years earlier. When the show aired their performance, they used a split screen and showed Maddie’s rendition of the number, prompting further comparisons.

In an interview with Elite Daily, Maddie reflected on the constant comparisons. “It broke my heart that you were compared so much to me as a dancer,” revealed Maddie Kenzie. “Like if you didn’t win, why weren’t you as good as Maddie? This is so heartbreaking. Everyone should be allowed to shine in their own way.”

Of course, the comparisons were harsh for Kenzie, too. In the interview mentioned above, she admitted to taking some of her frustration out on her older sister. “I handled it pretty badly,” she shared with Maddie. “I was a Bratty kid. We did interviews and I just said ‘I’m not Maddie’ and yelled at you and you had nothing to do with it. You’re just a good dancer and we’re sisters and that’s it. But we are still compared to that day. Every sister is compared no matter who you are.”
Luckily for the sisters, the comparisons have slowed considerably. Both sisters have asked their fans to stop making comparisons, and many have complied. The Ziegler sisters are obviously not lacking in talent. Hopefully fans will start appreciating them for their individual talents.
