While we await the shipwreck story of Scorsese and DiCaprio, the pair are set to stun audiences next with the epic western crime thriller Killer of the Flower Moon.

“In the early 20th century, oil made fortunes for the Osage nation, who overnight became one of the wealthiest people on earth,” reads the official summary. “The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white invaders who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as possible before resorting to murder. Based on a true story and told through the unlikely romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), Killers of the Flower Moon is an epic western crime saga where true love meets unspeakable betrayal meets.”

Directed by Martin Scorsese from a screenplay by Scorsese and Eric Roth breaking Bad Star and Oscar nominee Jesse Plemons will star Killer of the Flower Moon as old-fashioned lawyer Tom White, with Leonardo DiCaprio set to play a man named Ernest Burkhart. Meanwhile, Hollywood icon Robert De Niro will portray Burkhart’s uncle, American rancher and convicted murderer William Hale. The rest of the extremely impressive cast includes recent Oscar winner Brendan Fraser, Lily Gladstone, Tantoo Cardinal, Jack White and John Lithgow.

Killer of the Flower Moon The film is slated for release in select theaters on October 6 before hitting larger theaters on October 20, courtesy of Paramount Pictures. The thriller will then appear on Apple TV+ at a later date.
