Chris Hemsworth’s recent interview has sparked debate among MCU fans about the role of the fourth film in the series Thor Franchise helped develop the character. Although the director of the film Taika Waititi became a fandom darling with his work RagnarokIn 2022, it just as quickly became a nuisance Love & Thunder.
Ragnarok, at the time of release and to date, is being hailed as one of the most creative films in the MCU, giving the franchise a much-needed breath of fresh air, to a point where it has repeated itself with its output. However, the consensus seems to be that the film’s bright and comedic tone was overdone in Waititi’s second attempt.
They just gave Taika too much space to achieve “his vision” with Love & Thunder
I then try to be “different”, but sometimes it was too much

The tweets came after Chris Hemsworth expressed his interest in taking Thor in a different direction if a fifth film was ever made. His words were interpreted as meaning he no longer wanted to work with Waititi, despite the director being heavily linked to a possible return of Thor.
While Hemsworth never intended his statement to imply anything other than what can be gleaned directly from it (which in no way relates to Waititi’s involvement), fans are still hoping for it Jojo rabbit The director will stay away from the MCU going forward.
Fans can make up their own minds by streaming both of Waititi’s films Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love & Thunderavailable now on Disney Plus.
