Tony Todd, the actor who plays Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 recently shared a tweet giving fans quite a bit of information about the development of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. In a tweet (thanks Comicbook!), Tony states that he’s going to motion capture, so he had to get up early. Now, one might wonder that he might have other commitments as well and this might not be related Marvel’s Spider-Man 2the subsequent events tell a different story.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Development Update Teased, Possibly Early

At the moment the tweet was posted, some fans were commenting on various Venom GIFs. Tony liked these comments, which pretty much give away the fact that the work in question was actually Marvel’s Spiderman 2. Interestingly, Tony also likes a tweet from a person stating that they will be placing their order the moment Sony takes pre-orders.

Considering that Tony is still doing motion capture for the game, it’s fair to say that the game is still in a pretty early stage. However, it should be noted that the game is slated for a 2023 release date, so it will be a long time before that happens. If the motion capture work for the game is still ongoing, then there’s a good chance we won’t get it early in 2023. And that makes a lot of sense from Sony’s point of view too. The reason is quite simple, God of War will in all likelihood come out very late this year and Sony is always handing out its exclusive releases.
