Julianne Moore (Lisey’s story) will fight her way to the royal court in the historical drama Mary & George for AMC Networks and Sky.
Based on true events, the eight-episode limited series stars Moore as Mary Villiers, Countess of Buckingham, “the one in 17th-century England,” reports our sister site Deadline. The mother and son rose from humble beginnings to attain great wealth and influence through their intrigues.
AMC Networks will air the series in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India, while Sky will air the show in the UK, Ireland, Germany and Italy.
