The brand new series kicked off with four professional chefs looking to blow away judges Marcus Wareing, Gregg Wallace and Monica Galetti.

In today’s episode, the chefs had the opportunity to showcase their individual cooking styles by preparing two standout signature dishes – a main course and a dessert.

Himanshu tried to impress the judges with his lamb chops served with palak spinach puree.

However, this dish left Greg Wallace with a bad taste in his mouth when he pointed out that the lamb was raw.

“I can tell you straight away that lamb isn’t cooked nearly enough for me. “I’m afraid I’d send it back,” Greg explained.

Viewers were shocked at Himanshu’s undercooked dishes, with one writing: “Must be raw for Gregg to send back.”

“It’s not MasterChef without someone serving raw lamb,” commented another.

It may only be the first step of the competition, but the standards are already high.

And unfortunately, it was Himanshu who was subsequently eliminated along with contestant Catrin.

Chefs Cameron and Dara impressed the judges with their dishes and made it to the next stage of the competition.
