Although characters have existed in the Marvel Comics world for decades, some of them for more than half a century, actors who play these characters cannot. in the Avengers: Endgamewe saw the end of Iron Man and Captain America when Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans decided to retire from them MCU. During the filming of his series Limitless, Chris Hemsworth discovered in the off that he has a higher predisposition to Alzheimer’s than most others. “It really triggered something in me that I wanted to take some time off. And since we finished the show, I’ve completed the things I was already contracted to do. Now when I finish this tour this week I’m going home and I’m going to have a good time off and just simplify. Be with the kids, be with my wife.”
That’s not Hemsworth’s statement that he’s done with Thor, but the role is enormously demanding, especially physically given that the god of thunder is expected to remain in peak physical condition. The actor knows that as he gets older, this training gets harder to replicate, telling The Direct, “It’s been a really fun exploration, but I don’t know if I want to be that big again. But I was kind of… It was… Yeah, it was just exhausting. I don’t know, maybe I’m getting old, but things just started to hurt more.”
In light of this news, fans are wondering if the actor will be leaving the MCU sooner rather than later and proposing what they think is the best possible send-off for Earth’s Mightiest Hero.
Many have great understanding of the energy Hemsworth already put into the role and can understand when he wants to say goodbye.

Perhaps his newly found adopted daughter, Love, can carry on the mantle.
Although many feel that the way Thor: Love and Thunder ended was already a nice way to leave the character, who is now unencumbered by expectations caring for his daughter and traveling through space cowboy-style .
Hemsworth hasn’t given any real indication that he’s actually done with Thor, telling Variety that while he doesn’t know what’s next (most likely he does and can’t tell us), he added, “I think there’s more to say if people want to hear it.” So let’s not assume he’s hung up the cloak just yet.
