Mehdi Hasan celebrates Henry Kissinger’s 100th birthday in the most devastating way

Mehdi Hasan made no compromises on Thursday as he highlighted Henry Kissinger’s upcoming 100th birthday.

Hasan delivered a stirring monologue on the former Secretary of State for former Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford and said he wanted to mark the diplomat’s milestone birthday this Saturday by speaking about “some of the many, many people around the world who… didn’t get it.” To live to 100 or even 60, 70 or 80 because of Henry Kissinger, because of his support for brutal dictators, brutal regimes, brutal wars and war crimes.”

Hasan pointed out that Kissinger prolonged the Vietnam War, supported the 1976 military coup in Argentina, and supported Indonesia’s 1975 invasion of East Timor 4 million civilian lives.

“I could sadly go on forever,” lamented Hasan.

“Congratulations Henry, pat yourself on the back for living so long and being a free man too,” Hasan concluded. “It’s a shame that so many millions of victims of your policies can’t say the same.”
