Michael Gambon, beloved as Dumbledore in Harry Potter, dies aged 82

Sir Michael Gambon has died aged 82, his family announced on Thursday.

The Irish-English actor, who starred in dozens of films but is perhaps best known internationally for his role as Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films, died “peacefully” in a hospital, his wife and son said in a statement Explanation.
