Michael Oher Lawyers Demands Subpoena from ‘Blind Side’ Producers, Tuohys Agency

The subpoenas, filed Tuesday, August 29, require “all documents and communications” from Alcon Entertainment (the production company behind the 2009 film). The blind side) and Creative Artists Agency (the talent agency working with the Tuohy family when the deal for The blind side was made) mentioning the soccer star, E! News reports. He is looking for information on contracts and payments related to the film, as well as books he has authored sean And Leigh Anne Tuohy.
A subpoena was also sent to Memphis Shelby County Schools, the school system he attended, requesting any documents or communications regarding Oher.
Earlier this month, Oher claimed that the Tuohys never legally adopted him — as they publicly claimed — and instead convinced him to sign a document legally making them his restorers. Oher claimed he only found out about the conservatory’s position earlier this year. With his lawsuit, the former NFL player wants to end his guardianship and secure a share of the Tuohy family’s film licenses.
Oher claimed in the initial legal documents filed Aug. 14 that he never made any profit from it The blind side (which won Oscars and grossed over $309 million at the global box office), while the Tuohys — including the couple’s daughter Collins, 36, and son Sean “SJ” Jr., 30 — have raked in millions over the years have. Oher requires that Sean and Leigh Anne provide a detailed accounting list that reflects the revenue they earned on his behalf — including the film.

Sean and Leigh Anne have denied Oher’s allegations, insisting that all money from the film be split equally between Oher and the family. your lawyer, Marty Singerreleased a statement claiming Oher tried to blackmail the family.
“They treated me consistently [Michael] like a son and one of their three children,” her attorney, Marty Singer, said The Hollywood Reporter in a statement earlier this month. “His reaction was to threaten them and say that if they didn’t pay him $15 million, he would spread a negative story about them to the press.”

The Tuohys were sponsors of the program, and the NCAA would not have granted him immediate admission if he had been their adopted son.
Another Tuohy lawyer, Steven Faresealso revealed in an Aug. 16 news conference that Oher had been “estranged” from the family for ten years.
