Miranda Lambert Wants Fans to Feel ‘Really Pissed’: ‘That’s My Favorite’

Like many singer-songwriters, Miranda Lambert draws inspiration from her life when creating hits. There’s no doubt that the country star wants listeners to love her music. Why did Lambert say she loves making her fans “really pissed”?
Miranda Lambert strives for authenticity: “I will not lie in my music”

The country music star has penned hits like “Over You,” “If I Was a Cowboy,” and “White Liar,” and listeners love the authenticity of Miranda Lambert’s songs. She recently spoke about what goes into writing her songs and how she always makes sure to channel her true emotions.
When asked about her painful public split from ex-husband and country singer Blake Shelton, Lambert told CBS News, “I’m a singer-songwriter, so I’m lucky enough to be able to tell my whole truth. I will not lie in my music.
“I’ve grown up and learned a lot about myself. And I think at some point you start coming to terms with who you are,” she concluded. “I am at peace with myself”
Why does Miranda Lambert want listeners to feel ‘really pissed off’?
Part of Lambert’s dedication to never lying in her music means making sure her fans feel every emotion when they hear her songs — even the not-so-beautiful ones.
“Every time I take the stage, I make it my mission that no matter what, no matter where I am, I want you to feel everything you can possibly feel,” she told a crowd during a 2018 concert (via E! News). “I want you to feel sad, angry, happy and nostalgic and sometimes really pissed off. That is my favourite. And part of the feelings is sadly also heartbreak. But luckily for me I can use it for my art or whatever.”
Fans love Lambert’s intensity and how unapologetic she is for who she is, making her one of the best-selling country singers. Though the “If I Was a Cowboy” singer says she loves pissing fans off, she means it through music.
However, the star may have accidentally upset some fans via another medium following a recent social media post.
Some animal lovers might object to the country star’s “fun times” at a rodeo
“Fun times @pbr Nashville,” Lambert captioned a photo of herself and husband Brendan McLoughlin at a Professional Bull Riders event last August 20. Although many fans on Instagram and Twitter loved the picture and saw nothing wrong with the couple attending the rodeo, it is undeniable that these events can be harmful to the animals involved.
According to PETA, rodeo horses are tied tightly with straps to make them more likely to buck, while bulls are injected with anabolic steroids. In addition, the animals must repeatedly participate in competitions, with almost no breaks between events.
It seems hypocritical for Lambert – a self-confessed animal lover – to attend a rodeo. The country star has a massive collection of dogs, cats, rabbits and horses, many of whom are rescue animals. She may love these animals, but the singer seems indifferent to bulls.
