Moreno Valley: 3 students hospitalized after paramedics respond to possible overdose at Sunnymead Middle School

MORENO VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) — Three students were rushed to a hospital Wednesday after a possible overdose at a Moreno Valley middle school, officials said.
Firefighters were responding to a report of a possible overdose of an unknown substance at Sunnymead Middle School on Eucalyptus Ave around noon, a spokesman for Cal Fire Riverside said.
A Moreno Valley School District spokesman described the matter as a “medical incident.”
Four students were examined at the scene, according to Cal Fire. Three of them were transported to a hospital in an unknown condition.
Due to the presence of emergency vehicles on campus, parents of students at the school were alerted to the incident via a mass notification, the school district spokesman said.
