Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul was involved in a car accident before he was arrested in Napa, California, CHP says

NAPA, Calif. — Reactions are coming in from across the nation as Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi‘s husband Paul was arrested on a DUI Fee Saturday night in Napa. We have learned that Pelosi’s husband was involved in an accident with another vehicle in his 2021 Porsche.

Video of a broken fence and a fallen sign was part of the crash scene in Napa County, where the House Speaker was Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, was arrested for drunk driving in Napa County on Saturday night. Speaker Pelosi was across the country in Rhode Island and delivered an opening address to graduates on Sunday.

“I don’t think we should pay much attention to what her husband is doing because he’s not an elected official,” said political science professor Melissa Michelson, who is also the dean of arts and science at Menlo College.

Michelson also says this DUI in Napa puts the Speaker and other lawmakers in a very bad light.

Paul Pelosi, 82, had a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more, according to the California Highway Patrol. According to the CHP, Paul Pelosi was driving his 2021 Porsche east on Walnut Drive and attempting to cross Highway 29 when his car was hit by someone driving a Jeep.

“I think that reflects poorly on the Speaker and Congress in general, like, hey, these are urgent issues here and instead your husband is galloping around in Napa, you’re in Rhode Island giving a speech at a fancy university. What are you doing to keep America? secure and move our conversation forward about what to do with all of these shootings,” says Michelson.
