NCIS: Hawaii season 2 casts Jake Weber as a former agent

Jake Weber guest stars on CBS NCIS: Hawaii later this season – although it will be for his character and at least one special agent Not be “nice to see”.
TVLine has learned that Weber – whose many TV credits include Middle, Homeland and 13 reasons why — will appear in the 14th episode of the second season as Jim Carter, a former NCIS agent who is now the head of security at a university. Jim prides himself on being a “good cop,” but he’s also gruff, arrogant, and openly disdains authority – traits that led to his downfall from NCIS after Jane Tennant (played by Vanessa Lachey) took over SAIC.
As such, Carter still harbors a grudge against Jane to this day.
Lachey teased Weber’s visit on an upcoming TVLine Q&A as he detailed the big plans of the second trial after the three-way crossover event, which will air Monday, Jan. 9, 2023.
“November has been extremely busy” with filming the multi-show crossover and all, “and we’re ending the year on top,” Lachey said. “Larry Teng – who was a big part of not only getting me this job but also our first season – is directing [Episodes] 213 and 215 are massive action episodes and right in the middle we had a great guest star in Jake Weber.”
Since his seven-year stint as Joe DuBois on NBC Middlehave included Weber’s recent TV credits Hell on Wheels, 13 Reasons Why, Star Trek: Discoveryan episode from March 2022 CSR and Season 3 of Global’s Departure (with Archie Punjabi).
NCIS: Hawaii resumes its season on Monday 9th January as part of the Three-Way One-Night Tournament NCIS Universe crossover event.
