Notice of boiling water in parts of Bastrop County

BASTROP COUNTY, Texas — A boiling water notice has been issued for parts of Bastrop County.

Customers north of FM 20 in Zone 9, Polonia WSC must boil water prior to consumption. Customers who have also experienced a water outage in the area will also need to boil water.

Customers need to bring the water to a vigorous boil and let it boil for two minutes. This will help kill harmful bacteria and other microbes. After boiling, allow the water to cool before drinking.

If you don’t want to boil water, you can buy bottled water.

That Aqua water supply gives the all-clear when the cooking message has been removed. Customers are also asked to minimize water consumption.
