COLUMBUS, Georgia (WRBL) – We’re planning some rain showers and maybe some thunder for your Friday. The best chance is in the first half of the day, but for some it may last into the afternoon. It will also be windy with an easterly wind of around 10mph and occasional gusts of around 20mph. Highs today will be well below average, with most of the area falling between the high 70s and low 80s. Showers and wind should ease in time for high school football.
The first half of the weekend will see sun and clouds and cool temperatures for this time of year with highs in the 80’s. Towards the end of the weekend and early next week we will start to warm up to near average temperatures and more sun is also forecast.
Just when you think the mid 90’s are long gone, they come back in full force. Average temperatures of 90°C are expected by the middle of next week, we will probably maintain the above-average temperatures until next weekend.
