One person died, one was injured in two shootings: Columbus police

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – One person is dead and another person is injured after two overnight shootings, according to Columbus police.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan confirmed to WRBL that 21-year-old Javon Cherrl Smith was pronounced dead at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday after being shot at Wilson’s apartments.

According to police, another person was shot in the 3300 block of North Lumpkin Road. There is currently no information available about the victim’s condition.
