One person is injured in shootings on Reese Road

UPDATE 8/30/23 9:12 AM: New details are emerging about a shootout on Tuesday night.

Police were initially dispatched to the 1900 block of Reese Road, but later determined that the incident occurred in the 4300 block of Searcy Street, near Reese Road.

According to the CPD, a 19-year-old man was shot in the thigh. He was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional with non-life-threatening injuries.

There were no arrests.

COLUMBUS, Georgia (WRBL) – One person was injured in a shootout Tuesday night, according to Columbus police.

Officers have been dispatched to the 1900 block of Reese Road, according to the CPD. There is currently no information about the condition of the injured person.
