OnePlus 12 renders leak again; Suggests a redesigned camera bump, curved display and more

OnePlus 12 is expected to launch in China in December and in other global markets in January 2024. As we get closer to the rumored launch schedule, more and more leaks about the OnePlus 11 5G successor are emerging. Alleged CAD (Computer Aided Design) renderings have recently been leaked online, offering a glimpse of the possible design of the handset. They suggest four circles within the camera island instead of three. The handset can also be seen sporting a new Hasselblad logo. The OnePlus 12 is expected to run on the not-yet-announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC

Well-known tipster Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks), in collaboration with MySmartPrice, has leaked the CAD renders of the upcoming OnePlus 12. The renders suggest a punch-hole display design for the curved-display handset. As mentioned, they suggest four circles inside the camera module instead of three. That addition could be a new periscope or a LiDAR sensor. In the latest renderings, OnePlus has simplified the Hasselblad logo to “H” next to the camera module. Branding is placed to the left of the cameras and not between rows of cameras.

The latest optimized renders of the OnePlus 12 are said to be based on the images of the pre-production unit seen by the tipster. The newly leaked renders are slightly different from what we’ve seen before. However, the company seems to be sticking to the design language of the previous device with minor changes.

OnePlus hasn’t revealed any details about the OnePlus 12 yet, but rumors have it that the phone will launch in China in December and in other markets in January next year.

The specifications of the OnePlus 12 have been changed several times in the past few weeks. It is said to ship with Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 and have a 6.7-inch liquid LTPO AMOLED display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It’s expected to be powered by the rumored Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, paired with either 16GB or 24GB of RAM.

In terms of optics, the OnePlus 12 has been equipped with a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera. For selfies, there could be a 32-megapixel sensor on the front. The handset could have an alert slider and an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication. The OnePlus 12 is said to have a 5,400mAh battery with fast 100W wired charging support and 50W wireless charging support.
