Onewheel electric skateboards recalled after four deaths

A recall notice has been issued for Onewheel, Future Motion’s self-balancing electric skateboards.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said that if the weight limit is exceeded, the boards may not remain balanced, which could result in a crash.

Authorities have attributed at least four deaths and a number of injuries, authorities said CPSC Recall Notice.

300,000 of the boards are being recalled.

The manufacturer said some could be updated to provide users with warnings about weight limits, but other models would have to be scrapped.
