Oscar winner Mira Sorvino takes part in the 32nd season of DWTS

The upcoming Dancing with the stars Season 32 is already making waves and fans don’t even know all the details yet. Many changes have already been announced to the public, such as the departure of Tyra Banks and some professionals.
But when a door closes, Julianne Hough opens it. But not only the restructuring of the regular players inspires the fans. Two stars for Season 32 have already been confirmed.
The Bachelorette’s latest star, Charity Lawson, has been confirmed, which was largely expected. It is common for Bachelor Nation candidates to enter the ballroom. Vanderpump Rules’ Ariana Madix has also been confirmed and almost certainly benefited from Scandoval. But that might just be the tip of the iceberg.
Was Mira Sorvino chosen for controversy?
entertainment tonight reported that first Mira Sorvino was part of the upcoming DWTS season 32. However, this report is still technically unconfirmed. When ET contacted ABC for comment, the show said Dancing with the Stars would not comment on casting rumors. However, the full cast list will be released on Wednesday September 13th.
Fans of Mira’s works know her from her role in the comedy “Romy and Michelle’s School Reunion”. Perhaps more notably, fans are remembering her Oscar-winning performance as Linda Ash in the 1995 comedy The Mighty Aphrodite. However, a wider audience may know that she recently appeared on the controversial show Sound of Freedom.
Given the film’s status as a relevant talking point and politically sensitive issue, Mira’s inclusion in DWTS would carry all the more weight. No doubt ABC wants to strike while the iron is still hot. And given that Mira isn’t a controversial figure herself, it might be the channel’s safest move.
Dancing with the Stars season 32 will air Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC this fall and stream live on Disney+.
