Best Project by Jibaro Director Alberto Mielgo
1. The Witness (Love, Death & Robots)
Jibaro is not the only one Love, Death & Robots Project Alberto worked on. In the first volume of the series, released March 15, 2019, he directed a 12-minute episode, The witness. As well as Jibaro, The witness has a unique story with great animations. The episode is based on a young girl who escapes a killer on the street after witnessing a brutal murder. But the end of the episode awaits great excitement.
2nd Tron: Uprising
Alberto has also worked for one of the most famous science fiction TV series, Tron: Uprising. He did not direct the series but worked as an art director, for which he even won the 40th Annie Award and the 65th Primetime Emmy Award. The 19-episode series was released in 2013 and takes place in between Tron and Tron: Legacy. The story of the series is based on a program named Beck, who becomes the leader of a revolution in the grid world. You can watch the series on Disney+.
3. Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas
Alberto worked as an animator for this famous 2003 animated adventure film. Although the film didn’t do particularly well at the box office, critics praised it for its amazing animation. The film’s cast includes Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michelle Pfeiffer and Joseph Fiennes. After the Goddess of Chaos accuses Sinbad, he must go through all sorts of hardships and fight evil monsters to obtain the Book of Peace.
4. The wiper
One of Alberto’s best works as a director The windshield wiper. It is a Spanish-American short film, lasting only 14 minutes, released in 2021. The film was so great that it won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2022. The plot of the film revolves around a man sitting in a café and asking himself the question: “What is love?”. Various situations lead him to a correct conclusion.

5. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, released in 2018, was a huge hit. The film was directed by Bob Persichetti along with Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman. Alberto Mielgo acted as a visual consultant in the film. After being bitten by a spider, Miles Morales gains new powers and becomes Spiderman. But shortly after meeting Peter Parker, he realizes he’s not the only one with superhuman powers. Miles then battles Kingpin, an evil man who can bring different versions of Spiderman into the world by opening portals.
