“I love Cardi and ‘WAP.’ I love Megan Thee Stallion. I told her, ‘You and your artistry are beautiful. People will tease you because a stallion is a male horse, but there are some really nice mares out there!'”

One of the most famous actresses of the ’70s could be collaborating with one of the most famous pop stars of the 2020s. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Pam Grier – the star of “Coffy,” “Foxy Brown” and “Jackie Brown” – revealed that she is currently working on a project in which she wants to star with Grammy-winning actress Cardi B.

“I’m writing something for me and Cardi B,” Grier told Rolling Stone.

Though she didn’t say anything else about the project, in the interview, Grier shared her love for Cardi B and other current female rappers like Megan Thee Stallion, praising their two’s hit “WAP,” which caused controversy and broke streaming and Billboard chart records as it became released in 2020.

“I love Cardi and ‘WAP.’ I love Megan Thee Stallion. I told her, ‘You and your artistry are beautiful. People will beat you up because a stallion is a male horse, but there are some really foxy mares out there!’” Grier said. “She’s really good. She went to college,” she said of Megan before expanding her thoughts to other stars. “You have to have your goals. You will have haters, you will have jealousy, but just do your art, do your passion with your heart. you [Megan] and Lizzo and Nicki Minaj and some of the others, they know – you gotta make your own style. You can hire people later. But you come with your own stuff, then you just attract people like a magnet, so staff make you bigger and bigger. I want them to find that.”

Grier recently starred on the ABC sitcom Bless This Mess, which was canceled in 2020 after two seasons. Her last film role was in the 2019 comedy Poms, in which she starred alongside Diane Keaton and Jacki Weaver as part of a group of nursing home women who form a cheerleading squad. Cardi B will be in next year’s 10th Fast and the Furious movie, Fast X, after a small role in the final installment, F9. She previously made her film debut in 2019 when she had a small role in Hustlers alongside music star Lizzo.
