Pantheon Rise of the Fallen previews his next roundtable presentation on the impact of perception on questing

This may be the first time we’ve seen an MMORPG developer trying to hype up a roundtable podcast: Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen will be posting its May developer roundtable on Friday, June 3rd, and it’s feeling strong enough about what’s being talked about to take a peek at the podcast.

Only what is the topic of conversation? How the perception system of the MMORPG affects the adventure. The 50-second video doesn’t really offer much – it’s hyped video for a podcast – but it does include a snippet from senior designer Adam Mostel, explaining how players with certain levels of perception experience quests differently.

“Currently, we think we want to give keeper access to abilities that would actually compete for space on the limited action set; Things like the ability to visualize enemy footprints, discover treasure chests, activate special devices in the world, or even reveal seemingly normal enemies as hidden names.”

More on this mindset is discussed in the discussion board mentioned above, but for now there’s the preview video below.
