Observant followers noted on Sunday September 3 that Adams, 42, updated his Instagram bio for reading“The guy from the show you’re watching on this app because that girl married that prince.” The change was a not-so-subtle nod to former co-star Meghan’s marriage to 38-year-old Harry.
Fans of the legal series were quick to point to Adams’ previous bios, which have explored his own suits Role. The actor previously identified himself in his Twitter bio as “gentleman, villain, scholar, guy from Suits… just not in that order.” Adams later adjusted the last section to read, “Guy who used to be the other guy on this show about the lawyers.”

After suits In the end, Adams shortened his bio and simply said, “I was on this show once.” The USA Network series, which ran from 2011 to 2019, was about Mike (Adams), who was persuaded to get a job at a law firm, although he had never studied law. Meghan, 42, portrayed Rachel, a paralegal at the office who developed a connection with Mike.
The Duchess of Sussex has filmed her final scene suits in 2017 during her engagement to Harry. She left the series, moved to the UK and married the Duke of Sussex in 2018. (Adams attended the royal wedding with his wife Trojan Bellisario.) They have since expanded their family to include son Archie (4) and daughter Lilibet (2).
In 2020, the couple made headlines when they announced they were stepping down from their duties as working members of the royal family. In February 2021, Harry and Meghan confirmed their decision not to return to their leadership positions and instead relocated to California.
Adams, who remained on friendly terms with his screen love, defended Meghan after the surprising decision.
After Meghan was accused of bullying royal staff in March 2021, Adams tweeted: “Meghan Markle and I have spent the better part of a decade working on Suits together. From day one she has been an enthusiastic, kind, cooperative, generous, joyful and supportive member of our television family. She remained that person and colleague as fame, prestige and power grew.”
Adams called out the “seemingly archaic and toxic” British royal family while reflecting on the severe harassment Meghan had endured over her relationship with Harry.
“It angered me to read the endless racist, defamatory and clickbaiting hatred directed at her from every possible media outlet in the UK and around the world,” he continued. “But I also knew that Meghan was stronger than people thought or realized and that they would regret having underestimated her.”
In the lengthy social media post, Adams discussed how “the hunt went on” as Meghan was pregnant with her and Harry’s second child at the time. “On any decent planet, it would be time to stop sharpening knives and give these two people the magical first few months and years of starting a family,” he wrote. “It is obscene that the royal family, who [sic] The newest member is currently GROWING INTO HER, promoting and amplifying allegations of “bullying” against a woman who was basically forced into it herself [flee] Britain to protect her family and her own mental health.”
Adams concluded: “In my opinion, this latest chapter and its timing is just another stunning example of the shamelessness of [an] An institution that has lost its meaning, whose credibility is completely exaggerated and whose decency is apparently bankrupt. Find someone to admonish, scold, and torment. My friend Meghan is way out of your league.”
For her part, Meghan has shared her experiences within the royal family working with her husband on their Netflix documentaries. Harry and Megan. During the December 2022 documentary, Meghan recalled the couple’s trip to Canada as they prepared for their royal departure.
“We had left Westminster Abbey and that was it. I had to go to the airport. We get on the plane. And it’s not the pilot – it’s whoever is supervising the crew – and he came and knelt by my seat and took off his hat. I just remember looking at him and saying, ‘We appreciate everything you’ve done for our country,'” she explained. “It was the first time I felt that someone saw the victim [I made]. Not for my own country. For this country, that’s not mine.”
Recalling a meltdown when she arrived in North America, Meghan added, “We landed and one of our security guards – who had been with H for so long and these guys were so wonderful – I just collapsed in his arms.” [I was] Cry. I thought, ‘I tried so hard.’ He says, ‘I know you did it.’ I know you did it, ma’am, I know you did it.’ I tried so hard And that’s the piece that’s so triggerable, because you’re like, ‘And it still wasn’t good enough.’ And you still don’t fit in.'”
