[PHOTOS] Doctor Who’s Ncuti Gatwa gets a new costume – First Look

The Fifteenth Doctor is fully dressed and ready to go.

The BBC released new photos of Doctor Who’s upcoming Doctor (portrayed by sex education‘s Ncuti Gatwa), and we have to say he looks sharp in the orange and brown color scheme and patterned jacket. Check out the new photos below, which are the first we’ve seen of the actor in his role alongside the teaser trailer released in October.

Gatwa poses alongside actress Millie Gibson, who will play the Doctor’s companion Ruby Sunday in the upcoming season. However, fans in the USA will have to be patient for the next round. The new episodes of Doctor Who will stream Stateside on Disney+ in November 2023, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the time travel series.

“Sometimes talent walks through the door and it’s so bright and bold and brilliant that I just step back in awe and thank my lucky stars,” returning showrunner Russell T Davies said at the time of the Gatwa casting. “Ncuti blinded us, grabbed the Doctor, and possessed these TARDIS keys in a matter of seconds.”

But before Gatwa can officially settle in, fan favorite David Tennant (who portrayed the 10th Doctor from 2005-2010) will return for three episodes alongside his former companion Catherine Tate. These episodes are also scheduled for November 2023.

let’s hear it Doctor Who Fans: Are you looking forward to next November and what do you think of Gatwa’s new threads? Mute the comments!
