Pierce Brosnan is glad his Black Adam costume covers up those “skinny aristocratic Irish ankles.”

Pierce Brosnan appears as Dr. Fate in on Black Adam, and he went into a bit of detail to bring the process behind bringing the character to life.

As it turns out, the James Bond actor is a bit insecure about his ankles, thank goodness — and he was thankful that Warner Bros. CGI efforts managed to bury that insecurity in the final product we see on the see screen.

Brosnan explained the intricacies behind his costume, noting that two versions of Dr. Fate’s helmet were used. One was an extremely elaborate piece that the actor could carry under his arm in scenes, and another to put on his head – which he couldn’t see out of, he told Entertainment Weekly.

Then there was his mo cap suit, which Brosnan obviously felt a bit silly in, speaking of his “aristocratic Irish ankles.”

We can’t help but sympathize with Brosnan, but it casts a whole different light on the man who once played Britain’s most dangerous spy. We’re not sure we can sit down for a repeat of Gold eye without having the words “aristocratic Irish knuckles” in mind.

But as Christian Bale told Robert Pattinson when he took on the role of Batman, you’d hardly feel “great” if your suit bothered you, like when you can’t pee. Good for the studio to get those knuckles right in post production.

Black Adam is in theaters today, and we’d advise watching it ASAP if you want to avoid having some great moments spoiled for you, as DC doesn’t seem too concerned about keeping you in the dark .
