Pinellas County man wins $1 million on scratch card purchased at Clearwater Circle K

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) – A Pinellas County man is $1 million richer after buying a Circle K scratch card.

On Tuesday, the Florida Lottery announced that Gregory Alexopoulos, 50, of Palm Harbor, won a $1 million prize from the scratch game 500X THE CASH. He accepted his prize at the lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

According to the lottery, Alexopoulos bought the scratch card at Circle K, 1499 South Belcher Road in Clearwater. The retailer receives a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning scratch card.

The $50 game 500X THE CASH features a top prize of $25 million – the highest prize ever offered in a Florida scratch game. The overall winning probability of the game is 1 in 4.50.
