Sony is preparing for a show sooner than fans would expect, according to prominent games journalist Jeff Grubb. In the latest installment of the GamesBeat Decides podcast, Jeff Grubb states that he’s heard from multiple sources that a new show scheduled for the first week of June could be in the pipeline.

As for the content of the show itself, Jeff Grubb hasn’t revealed much about it. He has stated that he has heard the news from multiple sources but is unable to confirm the news himself. It might be possible that’s what it’s about skull and bonesor maybe call of Duty could also be present at the event.

These days, when fans hear about an upcoming Sony event, that’s the first thing that comes to mind God of War: Ragnarok. The highly-anticipated title is slated for release later this year, and fans are getting quite impatient to learn more about the title.

  • MORE: PlayStation Studios has released more Xbox games than the Xbox itself

There have been a number of rumors about the game being delayed, but Sony has kept repeating the title’s release window. The last update we received was barely a few days ago where it stated so God of War: Ragnarok is actually coming in 2022, but as of now the game isn’t ready to be revealed.

Sony should definitely have a show very soon considering it’s been quite a while since we’ve heard from them. However, whether that will be before or after the Xbox show remains to be seen.
