Officialsl Twitter account by Bend Studio, the team behind the critically acclaimed Last days and siphon filter Franchise announced that siphon filter will receive Trophy Support when it releases on PlayStation Plus in a few weeks. As soon as the news was announced, fans got pretty excited as games back then didn’t have any Trophy support since this feature was released from the PS3 era onwards.

Unsurprisingly, there are also some avid trophy hunters who quickly began to question whether the game would go platinum or not. The developers issued a belated clarification stating that the game will indeed also include a platinum trophy titled “Excellent work, Agent”.

The immediate question many gamers might have is whether the Xbox’s backwards compatibility will offer this as well. While the original Xbox games have some visual improvements and faster loading times, the games still lack achievements. There are obviously some players who don’t care about achievements at all, but there is still a sizeable portion of the fan base who enjoy chasing those achievements.

Whether this trend will also follow the other PlayStation classics is not known at this point in time. However, it’s very possible that Bend Studios set a precedent that other developers will follow as well. That being said, one shouldn’t expect the same from third-party titles as it’s extremely unlikely.
