How to start the Blood Moon Ursaluna side quest

The quest is started by speaking to Perrin, a woman with green and black hair, taking photos in Mossui Town, west of the Pokemon Center. However, this is not the only requirement for starting this quest. You must have caught 150 Pokémon in the Kitakami Pokedex. These aren’t all of the Pokemon in the area, although it’s a fairly healthy group.
Luckily, the Kitakami Pokedex has a good amount of overlap with the regular Paldea Pokedex, so you should have a good head start. You do not need to complete the main quest to start this side quest, but the four legendary Pokémon introduced in the DLC cannot be caught without completing this side quest.
How to complete the Bloodmoon Ursaluna side quest

Once you have caught 150 Pokémon in Kitakami, Perrin will ask you to prove your strength in battle against them. Luckily she only has two Pokémon, none of which are particularly tough. After you win, Perrin tells you about her search for the Blood Moon Beast and that she wants to take a photo of it. Then you have the opportunity to catch them. You now need to meet her in the Timeless Woods, the forest area in the northeast corner of the map.
The next steps need to be taken Photos of 10 different Pokémon on foggy nights. You don’t have to wait for the weather to change because when you talk to Perrin it will automatically be a foggy night. You have to duck and sneak around to get relatively close and take a photo of the different Pokémon. If you get too close and move too fast, the Pokemon will get spooked and run away.

Once you’re done, Perrin will ask you if you’re ready to face the Blood Moon Ursaluna. Once you say yes, a short battle cutscene will begin. This fight functions like a titan fight, with the Bloodmoon Ursaluna having a huge health bar. You also don’t have to try to catch them in the middle of the fight, instead you have the option to catch them at the end of the fight once you defeat them. For combat purposes, Ursaluna is a Ground Normal type, but they have the special ability to hit Ghost-type Pokémon with their moves, so keep that in mind. They will continually use Calm Mind to improve their special attack and defense. So the quicker you can win, the better.
Once you defeat and capture the Bloodmoon Ursaluna, Perrin tells you to meet back in the city of Mossui. Go back and she will give you your other quest rewards, including a Hisuian Growlithe.
