Gym battles have long been a hallmark of Pokémon games. But with the release of Pokémon Legends Arceus, that changed when the concept of arena battles was completely absent from the game. Instead, we had more of a single Pokemon boss fight in Pokemon that was all about helping Pokemon get rid of its frenzy.

Now considering the fact that Pokémon Legends Arceus was pretty much the predecessor of all other Pokémon games, the lack of gym battles made a lot of sense. However, when it comes to the latest installment in the franchise, fans are still quite unsure of what approach this game will take.

According to a new report, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet could bring back the classic Gym Battles. The source of the leak is once again Riddler Khu, who has been super reliable with Pokemon leaks in the past. In one of their title puzzles, the user posts a screenshot of the upcoming puzzles he has in store for fans. Fans quickly realized that one of the images was called “GL-teaser 1”.

Now, in all probability, GL is possibly suggesting in this name hints that studio heads could return to Pokemon scarlet and violet. The good thing is that the full mystery is yet to be revealed, so players will definitely get more exciting information about the feature in the coming days. Considering it teases something about studio heads, there’s a good chance we’re seeing something special, since a regular studio head isn’t something to drop leaks about.
