Police are announcing the arrest of MAFS star George Roberts more than a year after he was accused of coercion by three women

MARRIED At First Sight star George Roberts faces no further action after being arrested on suspicion of coercion.

The financial adviser was captured in September last year after finding love with April Banbury on the E4 show.

Roberts, 40, denied controlling and coercive behavior after three of his ex-girlfriends came forward.

The Met Police confirmed today that they will not be taking any further action against the reality star.

A statement said: “A 40-year-old man was arrested by Met officers in Worcestershire on Thursday 29 September 2022 on suspicion of control and coercion.”

“He was taken to a police station in Worcestershire and initially bailed to return pending further inquiries before being released under investigation.

“All investigations have now been completed and no further action will be taken. All parties have been informed of this outcome.”

“The investigation followed an allegation of controlling and coercive behavior and harassment reported to the Met on Monday 26 September 2022.”

Roberts married former Miss Britain April on Married At First Sight last year, but shortly after his arrest she revealed she was single.

She later told fans the show had “ruined her life” and added: “The trauma that this show has brought has made me re-evaluate things.”

“I really have and I’m not ashamed to admit that I’ve seen a therapist since then.”

This came after Roberts shared a post on his Instagram thanking fans for their “messages of support.”

He said at the time: “Justice and judgment are often far apart.”
