Police chase ends in fatal multi-vehicle crash in South Gate; Several suspects on the run

SOUTH GATE, Calif. (KABC) — A wild chase with a stolen vehicle ended in a fatal crash in South Gate on Monday.

The Sheriff’s Department said it all started when officers began pursuing the driver of a vehicle that had been reported stolen in the East Los Angeles area. The pursuit ended around 3:30 p.m. when the driver crashed near Southern Avenue and State Street

At least five cars were hit. Eyewitness News cameras captured several damaged vehicles, including a gray Range Rover.

Authorities say a man was killed while driving a gray Nissan Sentra. Officials did not provide any information about which of the five vehicles was reported stolen.

One suspect has been arrested, but police are still looking for two other suspects.
