PORTER RANCH, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A 14-year-old girl died Saturday at Porter Ranch in a multi-vehicle accident that also killed a 16-year-old boy and injured eight others, police said.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department said the accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the 11000 block of Reseda Boulevard.
A 16-year-old was trapped in the wreckage and died at the scene. The coroner’s office identified him as Magnus Robinson. Authorities initially said he was 17 years old.
Nine people were taken to hospitals, where a 14-year-old girl died after arriving at the facility, the LAPD said Sunday. The girl’s name was not released.

The LAPD also announced that another victim, a 16-year-old, suffered fractured skulls and hips. No update was given on the condition of the other victims.
According to the LAPD, the accident happened after a driver was traveling south on Reseda Boulevard and crossing the centerline, crashing into two other vehicles and several parked cars.
Although the cause of the crash is still under investigation, police said speed played a role.
