Starz closed the book on one of his previously announced perfomance spin-offs.
Influencewhich would have focused on slippery politician Rashad Tate as he “continued his murderous quest for power” is no longer in the development of the cable network, TVLine has confirmed.
The offshoot, originally dubbed Power Book IV: Influencewas poised to be the third in a series of four spin-offs to premiere thereafter Power Book II: Spirit and Book of Power III: Raise Kananbut before the recently launched, Tommy-centric Makes. But since the initial announcement in February 2020, the order had shifted, and Makes has been officially dubbed Book IV in the franchise.
That perfomance Franchise stays strong with Starz: SpiritMichael Rainey Jr.’s Tariq follows directly after the original series and was previously renewed for Season 3; Raise Kanan, a prequel chronicling the coming of age of 50 Cent’s Kanan Stark, returns for Season 2 on August 14; and Makeswhich stars Joseph Sikora’s fan-favorite character Tommy Egan, was previously renewed for Season 2 (with a new showrunner).
